You GLOW Girl! Female-founder of DeCaf Candles, Amanda Hence, is keeping us stylish and sustainable. Reduce, reuse, recycle all while enjoying your repurposed floral tea cup turned candle. Months later you'll be sipping hot tea out of the same glass and soon after, returning your signature mug back to Amanda for a re-pour of all-natural soy candle wax.
Established in April 2020, Amanda expressed a sentiment that any new and driven business owner is familiar with — it’s been a whirlwind experience! Adopting a new hobby during the pandemic, quickly turned into a serious endeavor. Always on the hunt to find vintage or unique coffee mugs and tea cups, she wanted to repurpose her collection by giving each item a new life. Soon her stock of beauties were created into one-of-a-kind candles. Using 100% all natural soy wax and high-quality fragrance oils, each one has a wonderful aroma which can be enjoyed without worrying about harsh toxins which can be damaging to one’s health and home.
Pouring her heart and soul into every candle, Amanda expressed how gratifying it is to meet new customers every week and reconnect with returning customers as well. "The feedback and outpouring of support from all my customers has been overwhelming and I just cant thank them enough. Every purchase, like or share on social media, or just referring a friend to my business goes such a long way. I look forward to the future and growing Decaf Candles in 2022.
