Aw shucks…said no one whose ever shopped with Doug Krupka, local and lifelong farmer!
Owner and sole operator of Doug-Mar Farms, he humbly explained, “I’ve been farming for quite a while, since I was a boy, my whole life actually. I do it all myself. You can always check out my produce, any time you want…it’s always fresh and always mine. I used to have a huge team of people that I was managed myself actually but I do better on my own these days.”
Working as a one man band, Doug says he never runs out of things to do for his business. In addition to his farm-fresh corn, he also grows tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and squash. “I’ll have more product too as the season goes on including cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts, and some others. I started in a little town outside of Cayuga County and grew and sold bedding plants and spring flowers and then moved to produce. Since I’m one man, I only vend at this Market and have been here for years.”
