Dave Williams, founder of Dutch Hill Maple, will lead you to a happier and healthier breakfast. After tapping 15 maple trees in his backyard in 1968, he founded his company which would soon evolve into an entire family endeavor. But first, he started out carrying buckets of sap through the woods to his boiling pan, where he boiled the sap down to maple syrup.
50+ years later, at their family's sugar house, Dave and his family, manage over 7,500 taps. Thanks to technological advances, they no longer primarily use buckets (although they do have a few for fun). Instead they use a tubing system, vacuum pump, and reverse osmosis.
Dave's son and business partner, Nathan, along with his wife Cristy and baby Kinslee, have worked to grow the family business by adding more taps, creating more maple products, and providing more opportunities to visit and learn about pure maple syrup production!
