Meet the Zakrzeski’s!

Jeff and Kamille are a Father-Daughter Duo of @kamillesgreenhouses that is always bringing the best vegetables, herbs and flowers to the Market. Kamille shares with us how they got started: “My father Jeff has been in the planting industry since 2001 where he started with just veggies and herbs and did it as a hobby. He has been coming to the market ever since I was a baby and the second I was able to plant he was teaching me everything he knows. I then started to come to the market with him when I was about 13 and from there my love for planting started! Now I am working full time in the greenhouse business! Jeff has another business called Liverpool Seamless Gutters that he tends to full time but always makes time for the greenhouses. We have just recently changed the name of our business to Kamille’s Greenhouses!”

Selling a variety of vegetables and herbs, along with some flowers, this family prides themselves on not using any fertilizer on their plants and pumping water from a natural creek to keep their plants healthy and green for as long as they can remember! “A typical day for us is when the sun first hits our greenhouses, we make sure to open the doors and turn our fans on. During the day we transplant and continuously check to make sure our plants are watered! We do all watering by hand and we do not have any automatic sprinklers.”

Customers love Kamille’s Greenhouses because of how well they maintain their products and their affordable prices. Their main goal is to help support their community and to keep them healthy by providing them with well grown vegetables and herbs! “We love our customers as much as they love us! We have multiple customers who return to us every year and we are so grateful for them, as well as our new customers!”

Kamille explains why Farmers Markets are the way to go: “Farmers markets are a great place to shop at because you get fresh produce and food as well as plants and even have vendors who sell materialistic things! Most vendors sell their products at an affordable price whereas in a grocery store it may be more expensive! You’re getting better food at a better price! You are supporting your local farmers as well!!”
