LETTUCE know how much you love this family farm 🥬

Mike Weaver, brother to co-founder of Stoney Acres Kevin Weaver, is always at our Saturday Markets with tables full of fresh, leafy produce. “I enjoy meeting all the people and most people don’t realize the access and variety to farm-fresh food at the Market. What’s challenging is the competition. We’re actually not a certified organic grower but we do grow everything organic, non-GMO, and no sprays.” A small family farm, their team is committed to using natural, environmentally friendly farming methods to grow tomatoes, lettuce, kale, cucumbers, spinach, onions, sweet peppers, zucchini, and summer squash. Beyond veggies, Stoney Acres proudly offers pasture-raised meat products, including pork, chicken and turkey, fed with local, non-GMO grain.

The pasture fed chickens are raised in portable shelters that are moved everyday. This provides them with access to fresh grass and a new environment to forage for seeds, insects, and grain while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine on a daily basis. Because all of their chickens get a super nutrient rich diet of seeds, grass, insects, and GMO free grain, their farm is able to provide nutrient dense, pastured eggs that are rich in omega 3, vitamin E, vitamin A, Beta Carotene, and folate, while containing less cholesterol and saturated fat. “Just wait till you taste the difference!”
