Last Shot Distillery

Take a SHOT with this local distiller 😉🥃 From grain to bottle, co-owner and distiller Chef Chris Uyehara, brings every ounce of liquor to life entirely by himself @lastshotdistillery. A connoisseur of flavor, he’s mastered the flavors of grains such as corn, what, malt and rye to craft his pride and joy.

With a desire to expand beyond his 37 years as a chef, it was actually during a chance conversation with his daughter and her longtime friend that connected Chris to co-owner John Menapace. John had the perfect space and engineering expertise to house the distillery. Chris and John, longtime residents of Skaneateles, partnered to make this dream a reality.

“Proudly sourced from the waters of Skaneateles lake,” shared Chef Uyehara, “this brand was built for families, and local communities. That’s why all of our materials, ingredients, and craftsmanship are the products of hardworking New Yorkers. Our grains and produce are handpicked from our very neighbors right here in Skaneateles and finally aged three years to perfection to create the signature, exquisite taste from last shot distillery. We use grains such as corn, wheat, malt, and rye to handcraft every batch and we like to let the natural flavors from our fresh ingredients speak for themselves.”

Sweet corn, buttery wheat, and earthy malt create unmistakable flavors and as such, you’ll always want one Last Shot, which inspired the business name. All of the different grains and fresh ingredients they use, allow the natural flavors to thrive in every batch.

Co-Owners Chris Uyehara & John Menapace partnered to create Last Shot Distillery, opening their doors in December 2015. With Chris’s 37 years of experience as a chef and John’s perfect space and engineering expertise to house the distillery - Last Shot was born. 🌾

Located two miles from downtown Skaneateles, NY, this distillery is built on a historical site where the Earll & Kellogg Distillery operated from 1840-1864 and later converted to a paper mill by Earls, Thayer & Co.
